Ambaji is regarded as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas associated with the Goddess. Unlike many temples, the sanctum does not house an idol but a sacred yantra that is worshipped. The temple has ancient origins and remains one of Gujarat's most visited pilgrimage sites, particularly during the Navratri festival.
