Somnath is considered the first among the twelve Jyotirlingas and holds deep significance in Hindu tradition. Ancient texts and legends describe the temple being built and rebuilt several times over the centuries after facing repeated destruction. The present structure was reconstructed in the mid-20th century in the Chalukya style of temple architecture, standing as a symbol of resilience and faith.
